Who are we looking for to discern membership on the Parish Pastoral Council?

 We are looking for persons who are registered parishioners of Ss. Peter and Lambert Parish, who love their faith, are practicing Catholics, and are committed to the future of the parish. We are praying to find parishioners who are excited by and open to the work of the Holy Spirit—ready to be creative in our approaches to bring the community together and to bring Jesus to our broader Skokie neighborhood. We recognize this is a moment in the life of our parish where we have the opportunity to commit deeply to the future and work together to meet present and future needs.
 

What is the process for discerning membership on the Ss. Peter and Lambert Parish Pastoral Council?

1. Pray!
2. Reflect on the characteristics described above and recommend a parishioner who you believe could faithfully serve on this council. Please complete the Recommendation Form by October 11th.
3. The parish staff will reach out to those who have been recommended to discern membership on the PPC with an invitation to an informational meeting about the Parish Pastoral Council and the direction of leadership moving forward. This is a process of mutual discernment as the parish is looking to create a council that has a strong balance of gifts and voices. It is important to note that these are recommendations to discern membership.
4.  After the Informational Session, there will be further discernment to ensure the right combination of team members.
